Privacy Policy

What we collect when you call or browse, who it goes to, and the rights you have over it. Written to be read, not to be skimmed past.

Scope of this policy

This policy explains what Garden Grove CA Plumbing Works collects when you call the dispatch line or use this website, how that information is used, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to the referral service operated through it. It does not govern the independent plumbing contractors we refer you to; once a contractor takes on your job, their own privacy practices apply to the information you give them directly.

Information we collect

When you call. To triage a plumbing problem and dispatch someone, we take what you tell us: your name, phone number, the service address or cross streets, and a description of the problem and the property. Occasionally that includes details you volunteer such as gate codes, access instructions, or the fact that a tenant rather than an owner will be present.

Automatically, when you visit this site. Standard server and analytics data: IP address, browser and device type, the pages you viewed, referring page, and the date and time of the visit. This is aggregate traffic information, and we do not use it to build a profile of you.

What we do not collect. This site has no contact form, no newsletter signup and no account system, so we do not collect email addresses through it. We do not ask for payment details; you pay the contractor directly. We do not collect Social Security numbers, financial account numbers or health information.

How the information is used

Call information is used to understand the problem, match it to a suitable local contractor, pass on what that contractor needs in order to arrive prepared, and follow up on the outcome of a referral. Website data is used to keep the site working, understand which pages people actually need, and detect abuse. We also use both where we have to in order to comply with law or to protect someone from harm.

Sharing with independent contractors

The referral itself requires sharing. When we route your job, the contractor receives your name, contact number, service address and the description of the problem, because they cannot do the work without those. They are independent businesses and become responsible for that information once it is in their hands. We ask them to use it only for your job.

Other sharing

We share information with service providers who operate parts of this business on our behalf, such as telephone answering, hosting and analytics, and only to the extent they need it. We disclose information when required by law, subpoena or court order, when needed to investigate fraud or a threat to safety, or in connection with the sale or transfer of the business, in which case this policy continues to apply to the information transferred.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not pass your details to lead brokers or resell them to multiple contractors bidding against each other. One job, one referral.

Calls, recording and messages

Calls may be monitored or recorded for quality and training. If a call is being recorded you will be told at the start of the call, and you can ask for recording to be stopped or for a recording to be deleted. When you give us your number in connection with a plumbing request, you agree that we and the contractor we refer may contact you at that number about that job, including by text where you have asked us to. That is service communication about work you requested, not marketing, and you can ask us to stop at any time.

Cookies and tracking

This site uses only what it needs to function, plus basic analytics. We do not run advertising pixels or third-party ad networks. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will continue to work. We honor Global Privacy Control signals where your browser sends them.

Your California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA gives you the right to know what personal information we have collected about you and where it came from, to request a copy of it, to request correction of inaccurate information, and to request deletion, subject to exceptions such as records we need to keep for legal or dispute-resolution reasons. You also have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, though as stated above we do not sell or share it, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights. You will not be charged a different price or given worse service for making a request.

To make a request, call (657) 354-1942 or write to Garden Grove CA Plumbing Works, Garden Grove, CA 92840, and say which right you are exercising. We will verify the request by confirming details we already hold, such as the phone number and service address associated with your job, and we aim to respond within forty-five days. An authorized agent may make a request on your behalf with written permission.

How long information is kept

Call and referral records are kept for as long as needed to service the job, resolve any dispute or warranty question arising from it, and meet record-keeping obligations, then deleted or de-identified. Website analytics data is retained in aggregate form.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to a small local operation, and we limit access to referral information to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

This service is directed to adults arranging work on property they own or manage. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under thirteen. If you believe a child has provided information, call us and we will delete it.

Links to other sites

This site links to city, utility and manufacturer resources from time to time. Those sites have their own privacy practices and we are not responsible for them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new last-updated date. Material changes will be reflected at the top of the page. Continuing to use the site or the dispatch line after a change means the revised policy applies.
